How to become a judge...
Judging is a lot of fun! We are always in need of judges, and it is a fun way to participate in this great sport!
To become an active judge, there are a few steps you'll need to take: obtain testing information, become a USAG Professional Member (which includes a Background Check and Safety Certification), study, pass your test.

TESTING INFORMATION

There are 4 main sources of information you will need to obtain to study for tests.
STUDY
There are a few people you should contact to let them know of your intent to be come a judge. They are Candace Alvey, the State Judging Director, and either Terri Cooper or Debbie Klotz, State Education Coordinators. All of these ladies will be a great resource for walking you through the steps to become a judge.
Look for study aids under the Education tab.
PASS YOUR TEST
One you have found a test date that works with your schedule, sign up online or by mail and follow any additional instructions that may be provided.
Once you have your passing test results, you will need to become a member of NAWGJ to complete your judging status.

- 2013-2018 Junior Olympic Code of Points (AKA, the gymnastics bible)
- 2013-2021 Junior Olympic Compulsory Program
- 2017-2018 Junior Olympic Rules & Policies
- Updates and changes from the USA Gymnastics JO Committees
